Optimal scheduling of ancillary services provided by an electric vehicle aggregator

Massification of Electric vehicles (EVs) is becoming a worldwide reality as means to combat climate change and local pollution. Considering that most the time are in parking places, there an opportunity for using EVs provide some valuable services power network. In particular, can ancillary electricity markets through aggregating agent. To this end, aggregators need develop decision support tools optimally allocate energy regulation resources considering network constraints. Unlike optimization models currently available literature, paper we propose approach jointly considers important aspects influencing profitability, such uncertainty, drivers’ patterns, capacity constraints, state charge demand offer bounds power-system security The problem formulated mixed-integer linear programming problem, thus ensuring global optimality. Results presented form hourly allocation charging/discharging profiles, distinguishing between day-ahead capacity/energy regulation, profit be reached, while accounting proposed model illustrated case study, which allows us show allow leading more reliable system operation, avoiding transmission lines congestion, providing profits EV owners who able services.
